Day 8 - Ewha, Hongdae and Cafe Gureum

Morning:

Ewha University

A waffle to munch on while shopping. Yogurt filling drizzled with chocolate :3

Afternoon:

Hongdae

Lunch at Jangeorang

Freshwater eel: A summertime specialty.

Especially went to look for this restaurant as it was designated as one of the best Korean restaurants by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and it did not disappoint!

Later on the way back to the train station, we stopped by the Coffee Prince cafe as it was marked out on the map we took from the Tourist Information Office. But alas, it was closed! There were a few Japanese tourists there taking photos.

Evening:

Cafe Gureum

Complimentary snack: Pretzels!
Makgeolli cocktail. I loved this!
Green tea latte.
Nuggets and potatoes.

At night we went to chill in one of the look out cafes on the many bridges spanning Hangang River. We picked Cafe Gureum as we had hoped to view the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain show. Although weather was great and we were there from 8 pm to 10 pm, we didn't see it at all. Sadded. We asked the staff about it and they didn't know why there was no show either!

Still, the place had a great view and food was pretty good and reasonably priced, we really enjoyed ourselves there.

Later we went to walk around Myeongdong and spotted this:

Did not know there was a BreadTalk in Seoul! Made me laugh.
