Mad For Garlic (Part III)

Went to Mad For Garlic again! This time, we went to use our 1-for-1 pasta/pizza NDP voucher :D

Remember how I was lamenting the fact that there was scarce enough of the delicious fondue sauce for the Anchovy Cream Garlic Fondue the last time? Well, this time I asked the server if it was possible to have more of the sauce and she said 'ok' without hesitation! I was expecting that there would be just a little bit more than the last time but this is what came to our table...

Ask and ye shall receive...

Ok, so there wasn't the little candle to heat it up but we could hardly complain when there was so much more sauce to dip into! This time we could really cover the whole pieces of toast and whatever with the sauce. I especially enjoy it with the broccoli, mmmmm...

As usual, we ordered our favorite Garlic Snowing Pizza, but since we also had that voucher, we decided to try something else from the menu.

Calzone with sweet garlic dipping sauce:  The calzone itself pretty much had just cheese in it, but it tasted pretty good when paired with the sauce. However, we still much preferred the Snowing Pizza. Maybe next time I'll just order 2 of that.

Mad For Garlic (Part II)

I really enjoyed eating at Mad For Garlic the last time so when I saw that they had a voucher available on Deal.com.sg, I went ahead and bought it. But I have to say this about the voucher, it wasn't really worth the money. It was a $30 value voucher that I bought for $15. On the voucher it was stated that no minimum purchase was required but when I tried to use it, the waitress told me that I had to order at least 2 food items. Son, I am disappoint.

But it all turned out good in the end as I ended up ordering the Anchovy Cream Garlic Fondue instead of only the Garlic Snowing Pizza and drinks as I originally planned.

Refreshing Yujaade.

Apologies for shitty cell phone pic.

This was absolutely delicious, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Very thick, creamy and flavorful but could be greatly improved if they weren't so stingy with the amount for dipping! The dish was so shallow, it looked more like the things you use to put scented oils! I prefer fondues where you can stick the whole dipping item in and coat it all the way. So don't go crazy with the sauce on your first dip or you'll end up eating the lightly toasted garlic bread by itself towards the end.

And one tip, let the tiny candle warm up the fondue a little before eating, it tastes even more delicious then!

Mad For Garlic

It's Polling Day and I have nothing to do! Dumb GRC system. But decided to make use of the public holiday to bring my parents to Mad For Garlic in Suntec City. Its a chain restaurant from Korea and serves Italian cuisine with a Korean twist featuring, you guessed it, garlic!

Interior of restaurant.
Dracula Killer. Garlic cooked in olive oil and anchovies.
Garlic Snowing Pizza. Garlic pizza with shrimp and pineapple. The server added the 'snow' (shredded cheese) for us at the table.
Garlicholic Rice. Garlic fried rice with shrimp and asparagus.
A delicious serviette. Lulz I had nothing better to do while waiting for the food.

I'm not a big fan of garlic (only came here cos my dad is a garlicholic) but I loved the food here. Especially the Garlic Snowing Pizza, it definitely lived up to its hype. Dracula Killer was all right, I liked dipping the bread into the olive oil. Garlicholic Rice was quite spicy, even for my dad who loves spicy food. Good thing we didn't order the Suicide Rice then haha.

Second visit.
