Day 6 - Jeju: Yeha East Course Tour + Nene Chicken

Joined the Chinese version of the East Course Tour as it went to Seopjikoji, aka All In House. But the bad thing was it did not bring us to Manjanggul Cave. I asked the tour guide about this and he said it was because most of the people who joined the Chinese tour were from China and they didn't like the cave as they have similar caves in China.

First stop, Sunrise Peak.

View from halfway up. It was a pretty difficult climb!
Still some way to go to the top...
After huffing up the stairs for about 30 minutes (!) we reach the top. Here's a view of the crater, not as breathtaking as we imagined it to be, but maybe we were expecting a lot more after all that hard work climbing up. Also, it was a little foggy so we couldn't see past the edge of the crater.
View from the top... not that much different from the view from half way up tbh.
The climb down, scary stuff.
Some speed boats to take passengers out to see the peak from the other side. We wanted to try it but we only had about an hour to spend here and about half the time was already spent climbing up!

A snack from Dunkin Donuts. Can't remember what this was, but it was supposed to be some Jeju exclusive thing. With carrot and tomato iirc. It sounds weird but it was actually pretty good!

Next up, Seopjikoji! Imo, this was the most beautiful part of Jeju. The pictures I took don't do it justice, you have to be there yourself to see how beautiful it really is. The rocks, the flowers, the sea, the sound of the waves, I wish I could live in a little cottage there.

The church used in the drama, you have to pay to go in. I didn't see anyone go in, people just took pictures from outside.
It's pretty close to Sunrise Peak, you can see the peak from here.
There's a cafe here, I'd love to have a cuppa there. But again, we had limited time.

Random vintage effect.

After lunch, we visited Seongeup Folk Village.

Shortly after that it started raining pretty heavily. But the rest of the tour was not particularly interesting anyway, we went to Mysterious Road and Love Land and then visited a Duty Free Shop. Honestly, I felt it was not very worth it to join the East Course Tour. It would probably be more worth it to just hire a cab for the day and visit Sunrise Peak, Seopjikoji and Manjanggul Caves. In spring, you can add Samgumburi Crater to your list. And you can spend as much time as you like in each place.

The tour ended around 5pm, we didn't want to go out as it was still raining so we spent some time chatting with some of the people we met on the tour in the guesthouse and then later the counter staff helped us to order Nene Chicken! They called Nene Chicken for us and told us we could just wait for it to arrive in our room and they would just bring it up to us!

Half original and half with hot pepper sauce. Absolutely delicious *drool*
