Picture Story Tiem!!!

Photobombed.

So I was waiting for the lift downstairs with Little J in my arms...

la la la...

...and I see a auntie with the most adorable dog ever. I don't know what breed it is, but the auntie tells me she bought it for $3500, so I think you can imagine just how cute it looks. The dog sees Little J and gets all excited and comes running over. It excitedly jumps up at me and starts to wag its tail. I did what any normal human being would do when confronted by such adorableness and bent over to pet it.

And Little J freaks the fuck out. I still have him on my arm but he scrambles backwards anyway. And this is the result:

*NOT drawn to scale! The other dog is actually smaller than Little J.

Yep I was stuck in this awkward position while Little J stood on my back. Luckily the auntie was there to help me, otherwise I have no idea how I was going to get him off my back safely. Also, I'm glad the auntie didn't laugh at me, I was embarrassed enough as it was. Why is my dog so cowardly?

Little J's never been scared by other dogs. Usually he growls when he sees bigger dogs, like many small dogs do, and just sniffs at smaller dogs. But he was freaked out by this dog. I don't know maybe he was intimidated by its cuteness? Who knows?

Sweet Sweet Tooth @ Marina Square

The voucher that I bought on GMarket was expiring so I had to visit the store today. What made me decide to buy the voucher was the fact that they had my favorite dessert, bread & butter pudding. It's usually available in buffet spreads but not commonly found in most a la carte menus, that I know of anyway.

This definitely satisfied my craving for bread & butter pudding. The hot pudding went perfectly with the rum & raisin ice cream. Although I do wish they were more generous with the bread & butter pudding. It looked about the same size as the scoop of ice cream lol.

The voucher gave us a complimentary bowl of snow ice.

This was kind of bland. The ice didn't have enough green tea flavor to it. Definitely not worth the $6.00 they were charging.

I had such a hard time looking for this place. I went to Marina Square but couldn't find the basement and ended up in the carpark -_-

But you probably wouldn't have trouble finding it if you took the train there.

1-For-1 All Day Breakfast @ Coffee Bean

This offer is only available if you pay using the Coffee Bean Card. I don't think it's available at all Coffee Bean outlets, but I've seen it at both Orchard Central and 313@Somerset.

2 sets for $7.90. Good deal amirite?

Comes with tea as well.
I love the salad.

LATE NIGHT CREEPY POST.

A small post to pass the time while waiting for the Mallorca vs Barcelona match to start. Puyol, Valdes and Xavi are injured and Alves can't play as he has been suspended for one match guhhhhhh Jesus take the wheel.

No one's getting any sleep tonight muahahaha.

1) Haunted Majora's Mask Cartridge

He's staring into your soul.
This statue thing is creepy as hell, but not as creepy looking as the happy mask salesman. I can't believe he's an actual character from the game.

2) One of my favorite creepypastas.

In the town where I lived there was an abandoned apartment with two-floors. It had broken windows and dirty, crumbling walls, so no locals would ever go near it.

One day me and my friend decided to explore the place. It was still early in the afternoon and there was a lot of light, so we ventured to the second floor.
And there on one of the doors we found some graffiti.
We went closer to have a look and found some words that said:”I am in the room ahead.”

We decided to go through the door.
We walked until we reached a fork and on the wall it said:”I am on the left.”

We were getting slightly scared but decided to turn left.
Then we came to the place where there were rooms on both sides of us.
And on the wall it said, “My head is on the left and my body is on the right.”

My friend, as soon as he saw it, lost nerve and ran away. But I decided to stay and, mustering all my courage, walked through the door on the right. I walked to the farthest wall in the room and on the wall it said: “My body is underneath.” I looked down and on the floor it said: “My head is coming here from the room on the left. Don’t look behind you.”

3) And a true story from a forum.

This is a completely true story - I didn't exaggerate or add any details. Enjoy.

This happened several years ago, when I was 19. It was sometime during the summer, probably in June. I was staying with my best friend (she lived with her grandparents) and at about 11pm we decided we would drive down to see some friends in Tulsa, which is about 4 hours away from where we are in KC. Nevermind the fact that we would be arriving around 3am...it was the weekend so no doubt our friends would be up partying at that time. So we got some snacks and hit the road. Now, we had driven to Tulsa many times over the years, but the only route we knew was Route 69, which is this little two-lane highway. We would have preferred to take the interstate since it was nighttime - we'd only ever made the drive during the day, but we couldn't find a map, her grandparents didn't have internet access, and this was just before the days of GPS so we had to take the route we knew.

Route 69 between KC and Tulsa basically goes through the middle of NOWHERE. The entire drive you're passing through cornfields or the woods. There are no lights but your headlights at night, and no cell phone service the entire way (at least this is how it was then, I haven't driven that road since that night). Basically we were banking on a smooth journey the whole way or we'd be totally effed. We had no idea when we left just how badly things could potentially turn out.

We were having a great time, listening to the radio, eating our snacks, windows down. We were about halfway there when things started to get weird. Remember, this is a 4 hour trip, so we were 2 hours into the middle of nowhere with no cell service, and we were approaching the point of no return - we had just enough gas to either get us there or back home, so we had to either go the whole way or turn around. At this point there were also woods on either side of us, starting just a few yards from the road on each side.

Then the weirdness began...We noticed some blood on the road in the other lane. No big deal, we figured someone must have hit a deer, which is very very common in that area. But as we kept driving, there was more blood...and more blood....and more blood. Over the course of 10 miles or so, the amount of blood on the road grew from a small splattering to a massive pool, covering about 3 car lengths (still in the other lane), running off into the woods. This is when we start to realize that something isn't right...not only was it an EXTREMELY large amount of blood, more than there could EVER possibly be just from hitting a deer, but that's all there was. Just blood. There were no animal parts of any kind, not even random chunks of fur...no broken glass or other car wreckage. Nothing. Just a MASSIVE amount of blood on the road. We also realized that we hadn't passed a single other car the entire time, and considering that the blood was on the other side of the road, if someone HAD hit an animal and their car was still driveable, it would have passed us a while back. Not only THAT, but the blood was very, very fresh. Whatever had happened had happened within the last couple of hours at the most.

Naturally, we were starting to freak out. Neither one of us is the type to panic or assume the worst, but we had seen a LOT of horror movies, and I'm sure that you all are aware of how a lot of horror movies start. Something just felt really, really off, too - even before we realized there was something beyond roadkill happening, we both got a gut feeling that something was VERY wrong. Anyway, like I said before we had pretty much reached the point of no return - we had to decide whether to turn around and go home or keep driving, and we had to decide quickly.

Well, that decision was made for us. Suddenly, we arrived at a roadblock. I literally had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting it. Things felt even weirder...for one thing, there were no previous signs warning that the road was going to be closed. Second, they barely looked authentic. They were OLD - the white-and-orange-striped sawhorse kind - and the wood was rotting. You could hardly make out the letters in the words "Road Closed." And finally, there wasn't any sort of detour.

Or so we thought. After sitting there for a minute, trying to make any sense of what was going on, nearing a state of panic, we realized that there WAS a detour! Off to the side of the road, there was a small, homemade, crooked-edged sign with the word "DETORE" (yes, spelled that way) painted on it...in dripping, red letters. Seriously (see what I mean about cheesy details? I would've come up with something better had I made this up, but that's just what happened). The sign pointed to a narrow, overgrown, obviously rarely-used dirt road that led off into the pitch-black woods, and as far as we could see, it led AWAY from the direction of the highway.

This was when we decided, OBVIOUSLY, that we were getting the HELL out of there. And I don't know what possessed us to do this, but we decided to switch drivers. We both got out of the car and ran to switch, and as we got back into the car (the windows were still down) we definitely heard some voices and movement in the woods, very close to the edge...on BOTH sides of the road. My friend was now driving, and she took off as fast as my crappy little car could go. We didn't look back, we just kept driving until we were back to civilization.

To this day, we have no idea what really happened in the woods that night. When we got back to her grandparent's house, we just snuck in and eventually went to sleep. Thank god whoever/whatever was out there wasn't a little better at whatever the hell they were doing (road spikes to puncture tires, anyone? they must have been new at the whole psychokiller game) because I really feel like we very, VERY narrowly escaped getting Texas (er...Kansas) chainsaw massacred out there.

EWF @ Orchard Central

I'm beginning to like Orchard Central. Gong Cha + EWF burger is my new favourite lunch.

Green Tea with Milk for my mum and sis.
I wanted to try something new so I had the Earl Grey Milk Tea. It was a bit too sweet and milky, even though I only had 50% sugar.

I felt a little bad about bringing an outside drink into EWF but many people were doing the same thing so I guess it's no big. And I did spend over $20 on the food alone so it's okay right? Right? Right.

Sour Cream & Onion Fries. There's quite a generous serving of fries, this is the half eaten platter lol.
Lamb burger. The lamb is very juicy and flavorful and goes wonderfully with the mozzarella. It's much better than the beef burger which I felt was a bit dry when I ordered it the last time.
Dessert time!
Nutella Slice.
With cookie crumble base.

It was good but I wasn't blown away by it. I was expecting this to be really good as I've read a number of rave reviews for it, so it was a little disappointing. Probably wouldn't order this again.
