Back From Seoul!

¡Hola a todos! I am back. Fell sick on the way back (having a fever on board a flight is the worst thing ever btw) but I am on my feet now. Really need to work out and everything mehhhhh. I promised someone to take some mod shots of my Bal but the weather has been sucking for an entire month and I don't want to take my bag out in the rain so that will have to wait. /crazy bag lady rant

I'm going to share some pictures I took in Seoul but there's not many as my damn camera decided to break down after the first day of the trip, damn you Sony NEX! So this post will be the better pictures from the camera, after this will be all shitty iPhone pictures. Ok, on to pictures.

We reached Seoul at like 5 in the morning and were immediately met with freezing 5 degree celsius weather, well freezing for us. We were bundled up in at least 5 layers of clothing (2 layers of Uniqlo Heattech products, 2 layers of regular clothes and 1 down jacket) but spotted one Seoulite just cruising around with a sheer long sleeved blouse wtf.

So we headed to Tosokchon for breakfast. Supposedly ginseng chicken warms you up. Also I'd like to add that I love how I was able to find pretty much every place I wanted to go with no problem at all, I feel as if I'm a local there lol.

The menu, I have no idea what that says. But the staff just assume everyone wants the ginseng chicken soup which the place is supposed to be famous for.
Cheers to being back in Seoul!
Kimchi! Ok not that exciting, actually I just wanted to test the macro lens on my cam.

This time we decided to share the samgyetang and order a side of seafood pancake. The thing was huge, like even bigger than my face probably and our first thought was damn how are the 2 of us possibly going to finish this thing by ourselves?! Even contemplated asking the diners sitting next to us to have some. Btw they were actually on the same flight to Seoul as us, what a coincidence! But once we started eating, that thought disappeared from our minds. It was simply delicious! Light and crispy and wonderfully savory, yummmmm.

Later we went back to the hotel to take a long nap and then wondered around Myeongdong.

And then it was off to Dongdaemun for some late night shopping. See, that's one thing I love about Seoul. Even if you decide to take a break and have a nap in the middle of the day, you won't feel like you wasted a day in the city cos you can always do some late night shopping in Dongdaemun where the shops don't close till the wee hours of the night.

Spotted on the way to Dongdaemun:

KITTENS!! This lady just had a small carton with them, I think she was trying to sell something as well, I'm not too sure but everyone just crowded around to ooh and aah at the adorable kittens...
...then she lifted the blanket off the other side of the box and it turned out that she had some puppies in there as well, damn!
